Wyllodean Holmes Rice

Funeral service for Wyllodean Holmes Rice, 81, of Hartselle will be Thursday (today), July 8, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Church of God with the Rev. Gene D. Rice and Dr. Milan Dekich officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Rice died Monday, July 5, 2010, at her residence. She was born December 24, 1928, in Morgan County to Jodie F. Holmes and Mandy Monk. Mrs. Rice was a member of Oak Park Church of God in Decatur for 60 years. She had lived in the Massey community for 52 years and loved working in all her beautiful flowers. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Rice; five brothers, Adlie Holmes, Emmitt Holmes, Ernie Holmes, John Holmes and Junior Holmes; three sisters, Edith Holmes, Vernice Holmes Robinson and Clara Holmes Segars; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dewey “Tom” Rice of Hartselle; two daughters, Sylvia Rice Mote and husband Gary of Kennesaw, Ga. and Cynthia Haynes and husband Jerry of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Steve Haynes and wife Jamie and Mandy Norgard and husband Jeremy, all of Hartselle and Jodie Mote and wife Farrah of Hoover; five great-grandchildren, Jake Haynes, Ethan Haynes, Katie Norgard and Jordan Norgard, all of Hartselle and Hudson Mote of Hoover.
Pallbearers will be Steve Haynes, Jodie Mote, Jeremy Norgard, Glenn Holmes, Tim Holmes, Joey Holmes, Ronnie Holmes and John Anthony Holmes.
