Funeral for Sara Lawrence, 88, of Portage, Mich., was Saturday, June 26, at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chad Wells officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tenn. She was born June 10, 1922, in Lawrence County to William Henry Hardin and Mary Elizabeth Praytor Hardin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Herschel Lawrence. She attended First Baptist Church in Portage, Mich.
She is survived by three sons, Jim Lawrence of Midland, Mich., Joe Lawrence of Cornelius, N.C. and Pat Lawrence of Garland, Tex; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jim Eversole, Eric Craig, David Lawrence, Don McDougal, Byron Slaten and Kenneth Slaten.
