Being a man vs. being a dad

A man boasts of what he has done when he helps to create a child.
A daddy  marvels at the precious gift from God that was created.
A man goes to work to earn a paycheck
A daddy only cares that his family is well taken care of.
A man punishes his children out of  anger.
A daddy disciplines out of love and concern
A man carries a child out of  frustration because his child’s little legs can’t keep up.
A daddy picks up a child, because he knows too soon the child will not want to be picked up.
A  man demands respect.
A daddy earns respect.
A man devalues others to build himself up.
A daddy values others without regard to himself.
A man teases and ridicules because it makes him feel bigger and better.
A daddy only plays in fun and never to hurt.
A man says, “I’m sorry, but if you had not________ I wouldn’t have done this or that.”
A daddy apologizes with, “I’m sorry.”
A man goes to church because it looks good.
A daddy goes to church, because he wants his children to see him grow in his walk with the Lord.
A man blames others for his mistakes.
A daddy accepts his mistakes and resolves to do better.
A man walks off ahead with no thought to who is left behind.
A daddy leads checking to make sure the way is safe.
A man loves the “I told you so” moments.
A daddy lets the child cry out their woes, and doesn’t bother with “I told you so.”
A man has the last say, because he’s head of the house.
A daddy listens to the council of his wife, family, and friends, before making decisions.
A man tells his children he doesn’t care when he’s angry.
A daddy remembers children need to know he always cares even when he’s angry.
A  man loves with condition of  “I’ll love you if or I’ll love you when. . .”
A daddy just loves.
