Der wins beauty title

Cassie Lynn Der of Somerville won Princess in the State Our Little Miss Beauty competition in November. She was invited to attend the World Our Little Miss Beauty competition in Dallas, Tex. Jan. 17-20 where she competed with girls from all over the world and won the World’s Mini Queen in the 10-12 year old division. She also won Best Smile and 1st alternate in Living Doll. She also won three titles in the modeling division.

Cassie will make several appearances through the year, including crowning at local pageants, visiting nursing homes and riding in parades. She may compete in another world pageant in New Orleans this summer.

Cassie is the 10- year old daughter of Bill and Shara Der. Cassie is in the fifth grade at Barkley Bridge Elementary School.
