Four graduate from West Alabama
The University of West Alabama held fall commencement exercises Dec. 15 with President Richard D. Holland conferring undergraduate, master’s and education specialist degrees from the colleges of Business, Education, Liberal Arts, and Natural Sciences and Mathematics; and the School of Graduate Studies to more than 600 students.
Among the graduates were Kelley Hopkins (MED, Math), Sonya Kennedy (MED, SCC), Donald Weeks (EDS, TCHLD) and Julia Randolph (MED, SCC).
For more than 175 years, the University of West Alabama has served the west central Alabama area and beyond through educational opportunity, academic research and public outreach. Founded in Feb. 1835 as Livingston Female Academy, the school is currently home to nearly 6,000 students.
