Journey Church plans Christmas production
Journey Church in Eva will present its second annual Christmas production, “I Believe” Friday through Sunday, Dec. 14-16. Friday’s showing will be at 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday’s showings will begin at 6 p.m.
The live production, which features 91 cast members and more than 100 support workers, re-creates a young boy’s journey to the North Pole, during which he comes to believe in Santa Claus as well as Jesus Christ.
Along his journey, he has an unexpected encounter with a snowman, marvels at the wonders of the frozen North, meets new friends and discovers the true meaning of Christmas.
The cast of live characters will include Santa Claus, Frosty, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Snow White, Belle, Woody and Jessie, Buzz Light Year, Captain Jack Sparrow, Shrek, Batman and Spiderman. There will also be live animals: horses, goats, a donkey, a pony and a potbellied pig,
Kids in attendance will be able to have their pictures made with Santa and the storybook characters. Santa will also have some surprises for the kids.
“We had such good response to last year’s productions, we decided to present it three times instead of two this year,” said Pastor Joey Coots.” This is a great way to spend the evening with the entire family. It has something of interest to everyone and everything is free. “
“We’re expecting big crowds and we’re encouraging folks to come early for a good seat. The doors will open 30 minutes before show time,” he added.
Journey Church is located at 3683 Eva Road.
