Danville outscored Vinemont 15-7 in the third quarter to win 38-28, picking up the Lady Hawks (8-3, 1-1) first area win of the season.

Sydni Shelton led the way 14 points and three steals while Tabetha Hutto added 10 points. Jesse Oliver scored five points with nine rebounds while Tara Tuck, Andrea Carter, Charlee Anderson and Sloan Lindsey all scored two each. Gracie George added a free throw.

Tuck, George and Hutto all had two steals each.

Vinemont was led by Savannah McAlpine with eight.

Danville will host Hanceville on Friday night.
