Lurline Brown Rodgers

Funeral for Lurline Brown Rodgers, 89, of Falkville will be Tues., Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walter Blackman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Mon., Nov. 19, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rodgers died on Fri., Nov. 16, 2012 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Morgan County to Willis Brown and Onnie Dison Brown. Mrs. Rodgers was formerly Preschool teacher for the Little Red School House in Hartselle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Gene Rodgers. The family would like to thank the staff at Summerford Nursing Home for their love and care.

She is survived by two daughters, Scarlett Anders and husband John of Huntsville and Pam Smith and husband Jeff of Hartselle; a sister, Elna East of Lacey’s Spring; two grandchildren, Megan Smith and Marty Harris; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Clemons and Brandon Harris.

Pallbearers will be Louis Depreast, Brandon Harris, Jeff Smith, Bob Horne, Neal Smith and Jimmy Henderson.
