Estelle C. Vinzant

A Mass of Christian Burial for Estelle C. Vinzant, 76, of Red Cliff, Mich., will be Wed., Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Red Cliff, Mich., with Fr. Kevin Gordon officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at the Red Cliff Elderly Center with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning at the center. The Bratley Funeral Home in Washburn, Mich., is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Vinzant died Sat., Nov. 10, 2012, at her residence. She was born Nov. 21, 1935, in the Town of Russell, the daughter of Maurice E. and Lucille M. (Buffalo) Bresette.

Estelle graduated from Bayfield High School. She lived in Milwaukee and Alabama for a few years before moving back to Red Cliff, Mich., in the early 1980s. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Northern Lights Manor Nursing Home in Washburn, Mich., and retired from Court Manor Nursing Home in Ashland, Mich. Estelle enjoyed her retirement by picking berries and apples at the various orchards in Bayfield, Mich. She became a foster grandparent with the Early Childhood Center, which greatly enriched her life and brought her much happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Keith A. Vinzant; a sister, Geraldine C. Heinemeyer; and a brother, Donald “Buck” Bresette.

She is survived by three sons, Robert C. Vinzant and wife Anne of Trinity, Michael J. Vinzant and wife Donnette of Crestview, Fla., and Anthony D. Vinzant and wife Krissy of Red Cliff, Mich.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward M. Bressette of Milwaukee, Wisc., Raymond A. Bresette and wife Dorothy of St. Francis, Wisc., and Robert H. Bresette and wife Peggy of Hagerstown, Md; a sister, Maureen Steliga and husband Patrick of Menomonee Falls, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In memory of Estelle and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Early Childhood Center or to St. Francis Catholic Church.
