Funeral for Edna Lawrence, 64, of Hartselle will be Thursday (today), August 20, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence died Monday, August 17, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born December 14, 1944, in Morgan County to Barney Maples and Lois Barber Maples. She was retired from General Motors. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Wayne Maples, Junior Maples and Jamie Maples; and a sister, Jewel Haynes.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Lawrence of Hartselle; a son, Jimmy Lawrence and wife Tina of Hartselle; a daughter, Lynn Lawrence of Decatur; a brother, Bobby Maples of Hartselle; three sisters, Shirley McCurry and Doris Blankenship, both of Hartselle and Martha Gail Turney of Falkville; and four grandchildren, Stephanie Terry, Corie Terry, Reid Lawrence and Connor Lawrence.
Pallbearers will be Tim Maples, Gary Turney, George Waddell, Kenny Hall, Mitchell Driver and Bobby Haynes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Reid Lawrence and Connor Lawrence.
