Cathie Smallwood Keen

Funeral for Cathie Smallwood Keen, 57, of Hartselle was Friday, July 3, at 2 p.m. at Son Rise Baptist Church with the Revs. Glenn Smallwood, Brian Bridges and Chuck Oden officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mrs. Keen died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born September 21, 1951, in Morgan County to Vernon White Smallwood and Hilda Nadine Curry Smallwood. She was a member of Cross Baptist Church and a former employee of Med Plus. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Bruce Smallwood.
She is survived by her husband, Herman “Buddy” Keen of Hartselle; three sons, Lynn Burns and wife Lisa and Brent Burns and wife Lecia, all of Hartselle and Chad Burns and wife Jenny of Flint; three daughters, Kelsey Burns of Hartselle, Lisa Lightsey of Florence and Pam Stinson and husband Bill of Hernando, Miss.; a brother, Glenn Smallwood of Cullman; a sister, Cindy Smallwood McCravy of Decatur; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Cody Anders, Kevin McCravy, Brandon McCravy, Bill Stinson, Tony Smallwood and Josh Morrow.
