William S. ‘Bill’ Vaughn

Funeral for William S. “Bill” Vaughn, 77, of Mulga will be Mon., Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at Mulga Baptist Church with the Rev. Crantford Hicks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Village Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be Mon., Oct. 22, 2012, from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Vaughn died on Thur., Oct. 18, 2012, at his residence. He was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Jefferson County to Fenton Wallace Vaughn and Jennie Arleene (Usery) Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn was a member of Mulga Baptist Church and was a crane operator for H.K. Porter Connors Steel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Vernon Vaughn, and his parents.

He is survived by two sons, Floyd Vaughn of Mulga and Jeff Vaughn and wife Melissa of Hartselle; two daughters, Virginia St. John and husband Virgil of Mulga and Carolyn McLeod and husband Brian of Murphy, N.C.; a sister, Martha Gargan of Woodstock, Ga.; five grandchildren, Adam Vaughn, Anna Vaughn, Joshua St. John, Jennie St. John and Justin St. John; and two great-grandchildren, Ayiana and Grace.
