Morris, Marlow to wed
Steve and Mary Morris of Somerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Heatherly Lane Morris, to Robert Edward Marlow, son of Ed and Nancy Marlow of Charleston, Ill.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Joe and Dessolee Rolfe of Somerville and Eulalah and the late Grady A. Morris of Cullman.
A graduate of Brewer High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a minor in deaf studies from the University of Montevallo. She is employed with McGriff, Seibels and Williams of Birmingham.
The future groom is the grandson of Marjorie Danner and the late F. Eugene Danner and Melva Marlow and the late Ivan Marlow. A graduate of Charleston High School, he received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Mississippi State University. He is currently enrolled at UAB seeking his MBA degree. He works for BBVA Compass as a financial analyst.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 19, 2009, in Decatur.
Phillips, Brooks to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Leahmon Edward Phillips of Montgomery announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Sorrell Phillips of Huntsville, to Lloyd Michael Brooks II of Somerville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Michael Brooks of Somerville.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Spiro of Montgomery and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leahmon Edward Phillips Sr. of Montgomery.
A 2002 graduate of Macon East-Montgomery Academy, she received a degree in physical education with a minor in Bible from Faulkner University in 2006.
She is employed as director of SportsMED Fitness in Huntsville.
The future groom is the grandson of Marie Still Buist and the late Charles Arthur Buist Jr. of Huntsville, Jessee Carl “Billy” Brooks and the late Mittie Huggins Brooks of Somerville.
A 1998 graduate of Brewer High School, he is a 2003 graduate of Auburn University with a major in mechanical engineering and a minor in business. He is employed as a mechanical engineer at Redstone Arsenal.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 4, 2009, at Monte Sano Lodge in Huntsville.
