Lady Tigers win 4 of 5 matches at Gulf Shores

Hartselle’s Lady Tigers won four of five matches at the Gulf Shores Tournament on Friday and Saturday and extended their reason record to 38-18.

In pool play, the Lady Tigers defeated Foley, 25-10, 25-13; Brew Tech, 25-24, 25-6; Saraland, 25-23, 25-19; and Jeff Davis, 25-16, 25-20.

They lost to Madison County, 20-15, 21-25, in the opening round of the tournament’s Gold Division.

Taylor Dellinger paced the Lady Tigers with 40 kills, 28 digs, 10 aces and six blocks in all five games combined. Haley Jared followed with 28 kills, 14 digs, nine aces and nine blocks, Taylor Lybarger scored 27 kills, 25 digs, two aces and two blocks, Melissa Paul Hill had 82 assists, 22 digs, seven aces as four blocks, Sara Ellen Battles added 36 digs and three aces; Katy Beth Bole had six blocks, Tori Miller added five aces and Tori Denslow had five blocks.
