Art comes alive at FES

Falkville Elementary School ‘s fourth graders were spotlighted on May 20 as their artwork for the entire school year was placed on exhibit for public viewing in the school gymnasium.
As participants in Morgan County Schools’ Art Attack Program, all 72 members of the class had the opportunity to show off their art skills in 15 different projects. For approximately an hour each school day, students worked to complete one project after another. Project subjects included “Paper Mache Masks”,“Line Animal Designs”, “Cat Contours”, “Still Life”, Halloween Parade”, “Wild Things”, “Earth Weaving”, “Toy Drawing”, “Snow Scene”, “My Happiest Memory”, Crowd and Action Painting”, “Kachina Dolls”, Paint and Scratch”, “Coil Pots” and “Snow Scene”.
Displays of the artwork lined all four walls of the gym, Included were framed prints of four world famous paintings. Each exhibit was attended by one or more fourth grade students who served as guides.
All other elementary students were given the opportunity to visit the gym and view the displayed artwork. The art show was also open to family members as well as the general public.
