Hartselle defeats West Point

Hartselle outgained West Point 433-23 to defeat the Warriors 45-0, ending a two-game losing streak.

The Tigers (5-2, 4-1) were balanced, gaining 216 passing and 217 rushing.

The defense also racked up seven sacks for 40 yards, led by Toby Swims with two.

Hartselle got on the board first with a three-yard touchdown run by Blake Slayton with 5:05 to play in the first quarter.

D’Andre Mack scored the first of his touchdowns on a nine-yard run with 9:38 left in the second quarter.

A Jaylen Jackson interception set up Masio Stover’s nine-yard score with 6:56 to play before the half.

Brett Blackwood connected with Sidney Steele on a 58-yard touchdown pass.
