Lady Bulldogs 5-1 in area games

Priceville High School’s volleyball team split a tri-match with Haleyville and Ardmore on Sept. 26.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Haleyville 12-25, 25-21, 26-28, 25-23 and 15-5, improving their record to 4-1 against Class 4A, Area 13 opponents. In the other match, they fell to Ardmore, 13-25, 25-23 and 15-4.

Against Haleyville, Allison Varner paced the Lady Bulldogs with 13 kills and seven aces. Emily Cunningham scored 10 kills and Shayanne Stackhouse was credited with nine. Peyton Parke had 23 assists while Kayla Parker had 17 digs and McKenzie Parker added 11 digs.

In the loss, Varner logged five kids and four aces. Parton had 23 digs and Emily Williams added 18.

The Lady Bulldogs split a pair of matches with Good Hope and Madison County on Sept. 25. They defeated Good Hope in two straight sets and lost to Ardmore 13-25, 25-23 and 15-4.

Varner and Cunningham each had six kills against Good Hope Peyton Parker had 17 assists and Parton had 22 digs.

In the loss, Varner had five kills and four aces, Parton had 23 digs and Williams had 18.
