Robert Arthur McFarland

Robert Arthur McFarland, 81, of Hartselle died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. McFarland was born December 23, 1927, in Houston, Tex., to Robert Floyd McFarland and Lucille Smith McFarland. He served in the Navy and was an accountant with Gordon, Cleveland &Gordon law firm. He was preceded in death by his parents; his only son, Robert Michael McFarland and a son-in-law, Ralph M. Smith, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Betty B. McFarland of Hartselle; three daughters, Ann Monroe and husband Jerry, Kathy S. Nolen and husband John and Mary Kate McGuire and husband Dan; a daughter-in-law, Beverly McFarland; seven grandchildren, Robert John McFarland and wife Stacey, Cheri Teer and husband Eric, Jennifer Gerstman and husband Jon, Kimberly Agee and husband Aaron, P.J. Smith, Todd Smith and wife Kristen and Gabrielle McGuire; 11 great-grandchildren, Austin, Brittany and Carson McFarland, Tristen Teer, Kaeli, Kristen and Kayden Gerstman, Karley and Easton Agee and Claire and Ella Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Comfort Care Hospice, 2035 Alabama Hwy., Cullman, AL 35058.
