Betty Dean Lemmond

Funeral for Betty Dean Lemmond, 91, of Alexander City was Thursday, Oct. 16, at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City with the Rev. Donald DeLee officiating.
Burial was in Hillview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lemmond died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at Lake Martin Community Hospital. She was born July 28, 1917, in Morgan County to M.K. Morgan and Linda Derrick Morgan. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her flowers, canning and knitting. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Boyd Lemmond; a son, Dennis Lemmond; and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Dizzy Lemmond and wife Betty of Alexander City and Delmer Lemmond and wife Barbara of Texas; two brothers, Fred Morgan of Decatur and Sidney Morgan of Texas; a sister, Effie McNalley of Decatur; four grandchildren, Bridget Hand and husband Brandon, Michael Lemmond, Jamie Ayers and Jason Lemmond; two great-grandchildren, Braedon Hand and Mallory Ayers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA, 30329.
