Hartselle Police Department is looking for help identifying a suspect connected with a burglary on Aug. 11 after she apparently used credit cards stolen during the incident.

Public information officer Lt. Justin Barley said the department is looking for a white female in her late 20s or early 30s with a height between 5-4 and 5-8 and weighs between 130 and 150 pounds.

The suspect could be driving a red Mercury Capri, model year between 1991 and 1994. The vehicle has been linked to where the suspect was using a credit card stolen during the burglary.

Barley said the department has received numerous leads following when the department posted the information on Facebook shortly after the incident occurred.

However, the department is having trouble identifying the suspect because the only good surveillance image they have is from an ATM in Decatur, where a female suspect used a stolen credit card.

“We have been given the names of several people, but because that’s the only image we have, we can’t really be sure about any of them,” Barley said.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle, the suspect or the burglary are asked to contact police investigator Shannon Hale at 256-751-4916.
