Lady Tigers win 2, lose 4 in tourney

Hartselle’s Lady Tigers (10-7) won two of the six games they played in the Huntsville Ironman Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.

They defeated Lee 25-8, 25-6 and Cookeville, Tenn., 25-21, 25-12. Losses came against Guntersville, 16-25, 22-25; St. Pius X, 18-25, 19-25; Ravenwood, Tenn., 18-25.15-25; and Centen-nial, 16-25, 20-25.

Taylor Dillinger led in kills with 41. She also had 27 digs, 10 blocks, three assists and three aces. Taylor Lybarger scored 31 kills, 47 digs, eight aces, four blocks and three assists, Haley Jared had 20 kills, 29 digs, 35 assists, nine blocks and two aces. Melissa Paul Hill had 10 kills, 25 digs, 55 assists, five aces and two blocks, Sara Ellen Battles had 43 digs, four assists and five aces. Denslow had five kills, five digs and three blocks, Tori Miller had five digs, an assist and an ace; Natalie Johnson had three digs and two aces.
