Jean Rowe Tankersley

A graveside service for Jean Rowe Tankersley, 88, of Hartselle was Fri., Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. in Hartselle City Cemetery with Bro. Jeremy Harbin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Tankersley died on Wed., Aug. 29, 2012, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Dec. 6, 1923, in Morgan County to Powell Cleveland Rowe and Brenda Smith Rowe. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Hartselle and was retired from Hartselle Utilities.

She is survived by a son, Joe Ed Tankersley and wife Becky of Hartselle; two grandchildren, Wesley Tankersley and Kristen Tankersley Green and husband Alan; and three great-grandchildren, Eli Tankersley, Dalton Green and Dylan Green.

Pallbearers were Johnny Rowe, Don Rowe, Dwight Tankersley, Kenneth Tankersley, Russell Woodruff, and Jeff Woodruff.

In lieu of flowers make memorial contributions to the “Kitchen Fund” at First Christian Church.
