Brothers charged with assault

A pair of Hartselle brothers are charged with assault following an altercation in Decatur.
Scottie Cain Jones, 34, of 108 Sims Road, and Charles Christopher Jones, 26, of 205 Kaylee Loop Road, face charges in connection with an Aug. 23 incident at Conan Gardens in Decatur.
Police said cousins Anthony Hill and Mark Hill were assaulted by the Jones brothers following a dispute over money.
Anthony Hill suffered lacerations to his forehead and other superficial injuries. Mark Hill suffered fractured facial bones and an injury to his right eye.
Scottie Jones is charged with assault in the second degree and was taken to the Morgan County Jail on $2,500 bond. Charles Jones was charged with two counts of assault in the second degree and was being held on $5,000 bond.
