Funeral for Omer Morris, 86, of Danville was Friday, July 26, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wendell Callahan officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Morris died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at Decatur General Hospital. A native of Morgan County, he retired as an electrician at Redstone Arsenal after 30 years. He served in the Army-Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and the Morgan County Mounted Sheriff's Possee. He was the brother of the late Emmitt Morris and Vera King.
He is survived by his wife, Rondah E. Morris of Danville; two daughters, Nora Cecila Morris Byrd of Moulton and Neena Yuvonne Morris Kemp of Neel; one sister, Eula Dee Morris McKee of Priceville; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
