Funeral for Arnold H. Martens, 84, of Somerville, was Saturday, July 27, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Harmon officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Martens died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. A native of Hammond, Ind., he retired as a custodian from the Hammond Public School system in Indiana. The World War II U.S. Army veteran was a member of the Hammond Chapter 17 Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by one daughter, Carol Livingston of Decatur; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers were nephews.
