Lorene Floyd Hopper

Funeral for Lorene Floyd Hopper, 85, of Hartselle will be Wed., Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Smallwood officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Mrs. Hopper died Fri., Aug. 17, 2012, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born June 15, 1927, in Blount County to Luther Floyd and Flora A. Floyd. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Otis E. Hopper; a daughter-in-law, Faye Hopper; a brother, Buddy Floyd; and three grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Jeremy Hopper and Justin Hopper.

She is survived by three sons, Joe Hopper and wife Lucy and Jerry Hopper, all of Hartselle, and Sherrill Hopper of Welti; three daughters, Rosemary Russell and husband Jack of Somerville, Sandra Dunn and husband Larry of Cullman and Yvonne Earls and husband David of Hartselle; a brother, Earl Floyd of Blountsville; a sister, Clois Maples of Falkville; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael J. Hopper, Billy Russell, Joel Willis, Jason West, Dusty Earls and Derrick Hopper.

The family expresses thanks to Gentiva Hospice, Cullman Regional Medical Center CCU and the Third Floor East doctors and nursing staff.
