Dortha Nell Smith

Funeral for Dortha Nell Smith, 64, of Hartselle was Tuesday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Ashley officiating.
Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery near Falkville.
Mrs. Smith died Saturday, May 24, 2008, at her residence. She was born Dec. 10, 1943, in Morgan County to John H. Rhoads and Thelma Woodall Rhoads. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She loved to cook, fish, sew and play with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Teddy R. Smith of Hartselle; a son, Steven Smith and wife Angie of Birmingham; a daughter, Stacy Smith Keith and husband Jim of Hartselle; a brother, Bobby Rhoads of Hartselle; a sister, Peggy Anders of Hartselle; and three grandchildren, Andrew Keith, Sierra Keith and Ian Smith.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Aycock, Don Crow, Mike Garnett, Bill Dobbs, Elton Weaver and Gary Grantland.
Memorials may be made in memory of Dortha Nell Smith to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Valley.
