Dunlap, Halbrooks to wed
Tim and Nancy Dunlap of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Maebec Hannah Dunlap, to Chad Larry Halbrooks, son of Sylvia Halbrooks of Falkville and the late Larry Joe Halbrooks.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Jim and Aline Dunlap of Decatur and the late Mark K. Hannah Sr. and the late Mary Hannah. A graduate of Falkville High School, she has a bachelor’s degree in physical education from the University of North Alabama and will receive a master’s degree in physical education from UNA in July. She was a member of the UNA Cross Country Team and Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and is currently the physical education teacher and track coach at West Morgan Elementary School.
The future groom is the grandson of Rev. John and Elizabeth Crawford of Hartselle and the late Harvie and Geteral Halbrooks. A graduate of Falkville High School, he earned a degree in geography from the University of Alabama. He is employed by Drennen Forestry in Cullman.
The wedding is planned for May 31 at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Falkville.
Patterson, Long to wed
Wayne and Kathy Patterson of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristi Dianna Patterson, to Zachary Parker Long son of Kevin and Kaylyn Long of Hartselle.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Yvonne Stephenson of Fayette and David and Barbara Patterson of Tuscaloosa. A 2006 graduate of Hartselle High School, she attended Wallace State Community College from 2006-2008 and presently attends Athens State University. She will graduate in December 2009 with a degree in elementary education. She is employed as assistant manager with Cabin Grill in Hartselle and is a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle.
The future groom is the grandson of Bud and Sherry Burchell of Hartselle and Donnie and Jane Long of Eva. A 2006 graduate of Hartselle High School, he attended Wallace State Community College. He is employed with Toray Carbon Filters in Decatur.
The wedding is planned for June 21 at First Baptist Church in Hartselle.
