Freshman Camp planned at HHS

Hartselle High School will host a Freshman Camp for incoming ninth graders Thur., Aug. 16, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students will participate in team building activities, learn about HHS, follow their schedules, meet with new teachers and have lunch with their advisors.

All incoming freshmen are encouraged to attend and are asked to bring their class schedule to camp (schedule pickup for freshmen is Aug. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.).

Freshmen orientation for parents

In an effort to help freshmen parents better understand high school and the challenges of parenting a high school student, HHS will conduct an orientation session for parents of freshmen beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym on Thur., Aug. 16.

In addition to basic survival skills, topics covered will include college preparation, how to win scholarships, testing at the high school level and basic information every parent needs to know concerning Hartselle High School.
