Priceville, Danville keep seasons alive

The Lady Bulldogs kept their season alive with a 73-50 win over East Lawrence in the 4A Area 13 tournament at Good Hope. Priceville led 32-15 at halftime and 48-29 heading into the final quarter.

Gracin Prater and Lillyan Bloodworth led the Lady Bulldogs with 17 points each. Prater had five rebounds and four steals, while Bloodworth had four assists and four steals. Carly Jo Nelson finished with 11 points, while Abby Langlois added a double-double, 10 points and 11 rebounds, along with four blocks.

Priceville 59, Ardmore 49
Priceville finished the regular season with a 59-49 come-from-behind victory at Ardmore. The Lady Bulldogs trailed by 15 points in the first half. They trailed 31-19 at halftime but took control of the game by outscoring Ardmore 23-6 in the third quarter to take a 42-37 lead into the fourth quarter.

Abby Langlois finished with a game-high 17 points and five blocks to lead Priceville. Ashlyn Johnson added 14 points and six rebounds, while Gracin Prater had 12 points.

Danville 53, Colbert County 47
The Lady Hawks advanced to the Class 3A sub-regional with a 53-47 win over Colbert County in the first round of the 3A Area 15 tournament. Adily Alberti finished with 14 points, five rebounds and five steals. Reagan Prater added 10 points and five rebounds, while Madalyn McCreless had seven points.

Danville 45, Covenant Christian 22
Danville closed the regular season with a 45-22 win over Covenant Christian. Alberti led the way with 14 points, nine rebounds and three steals. Prater had nine points, while Maddie Sherrill and Aubrey Reed added six points each.

Ardmore 61, Danville 40
The Lady Hawks lost 61-40 on the road at Ardmore last Monday. Danville was led by Alberti’s 12 points and five steals. Sherrill had 11 points, six rebounds and five steals, while Ella Kate Tidwell finished with seven points.

West Point 73, Brewer 43
The Lady Patriots saw their season end with a 73-43 loss to West Point in the 5A Area 15 tournament. Brewer (11-15) was led by Bailey Hale, who finished with eight points, four rebounds and four steals. Chloe Romine and Lilly Yancey added seven points each. Romine had five rebounds and two blocks, while Yancey had four rebounds.

Lawrence County 47, Brewer 32
Brewer fell 47-32 on the road at Lawrence County last Monday. Lilly Yancey finished with 10 points and seven rebounds to lead the Lady Patriots. Madisyn Freeman added five points and six rebounds. Jaala Hawkins led Lawrence County with a game-high 16 points.

Holly Pond 46, Falkville 18
Falkville’s season ended with a 46-18 loss to Holly Pond in the 2A Area 13 tournament last Friday. The Lady Blue Devils (13-15) were led by Abbey Grace Tomlin and Leah Pierce who had six points each. Ellie Cate Hill finished her career with two points and 11 rebounds.
