Lady Patriots tip off 2023-24 season

The Brewer Lady Patriots (1-1) traveled to Decatur for two games in the Decatur Tip-Off to open the 2023-24 season. They played Tanner on Thursday before playing Plainview on Saturday.

Brewer 45, Tanner 13

The Lady Patriots led 18-1 after the first quarter and 36-1 at halftime. They cruised in the second half despite being outscored 12-9.

Lilly Yancey led the team with 12 points and eight rebounds. Chloe Romine added nine points, five rebounds and three assists. Bailey Hale had six points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Plainview 67, Brewer 32

The Lady Patriots led 18-16 after the first quarter but were outscored 21-8 in the second quarter to trail 37-26 at halftime. Plainview outscored Brewer 30-6 in the second half to pull away for the 67-32 win.

Yancey led the team with 12 points and six rebounds. Keylyn Stapler added eight points and six rebounds.
