Bulldogs run over DAR in 50-12 win

The Priceville Bulldogs dominated DAR in Friday night’s 50-12 4A Region 7 win. The Bulldogs scored 43 first-half points and added seven more in the second half before the home-standing Patriots put a point on the scoreboard.

“I thought both sides of the ball played really well,” Priceville coach Chris Foster said. “The defense set the tone early with getting a safety and I thought our offense did a great job capitalizing. The defense did an excellent job keeping their offense under pressure all night.”

Priceville started the game with a safety and then got touchdown runs from Blitz Clemons (51 yards), Riley Wagg (6 yards) and Cooper Clark (14 yards) to extend their lead to 23-0 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter was much of the same as Priceville picked up three long touchdown runs from Wagg (59 yards), Clemons (31 yards) and Bronson Carroll (44 yards). The Bulldogs led 44-0 going into halftime.

Clark capped off the scoring for Priceville with a 15-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter.

Clemons finished with 121 yards and two touchdowns, while Wagg had 79 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Carroll added 50 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Clark had 33 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Priceville held DAR to 158 total yards, including just 20 yards rushing. The Bulldogs’ defense had harassed the Patriots’ offense with four sacks, six tackles for loss, an interception and a safety, along with a fumble recovery.

Priceville (2-2, 2-0) will host New Hope( 2-1, 2-0) on Friday.
