Falkville library to kick off summer reading program

The Falkville public library will kick off its summer reading program next month. The first meeting will be July at 2 p.m. They will have free books, free swag and the kids can earn credit for books they read and even a pizza party. For more information, please call 256-784-5822, Monday through Friday.

Congratulations Falkville FFA

Congratulations goes out this week to the Falkville High School FFA land team for finishing the year fourth in the state. They competed in April and were recognized on stage at the state convention recently. Team members are Cedric Beavers, Avery Bramlett, Landen Fields and Elijah Halbrooks.

Congratulations goes out this week to Falkville’s FFA chapter member Avery Bramlett for his first place win in the state in beef production. He will advance to compete at the national level in Indianapolis in November.
