For the Enquirer

Hartselle evangelist Junior Hill received the inaugural Fred Wolfe Lifetime Pastoral Ministry Award during the Alabama Baptist Pastors Conference Nov. 15 at First Baptist Church Decatur.

The award, named in memory of Wolfe, a longtime Alabama Baptist pastor and church planter who died in January, will recognize pastors who mentor, disciple and encourage men of God.

In the past 66 years, the 85-year-old Hill has shared the Gospel with hundreds of thousands of people at more than 1,800 revivals spanning 48 states and 12 countries. He served as first vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention and has written more than a dozen faith-based books.
