Curly Q’s hosts grand opening

Lauren Estes-Velez, Special to the Enquirer

Hartselle native Teresa Sanford is taking on her first business venture in the Town of Priceville with the recent grand opening on Curly Q’s Salon.

“Curly Q’s was my very first Salon job and I worked for Linda Russel [the previous owner] about nine years when she owned it,” Sanford said. “I had to leave because of the insurance side of things, but now after another 15 years- I came back to work for Linda. Two months later, she made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I’m very excited about this business adventure.”

Sanford said she is officially open now and couldn’t be happier to be following her passion.

“I fell in love with hair by the time I was 12-years-old,” Sanford said. “I used to practice on my four brother’s hair growing up. I have my amazing husband ,kids and family for standing behind me and supporting me. I owe a lot to Linda Russel for not only teaching me from the beginning, but for the opportunity to live out my dream. I only hope to not let her down.”

Curly Q’s will offer up to date colors, styles and cuts. They will also ave brow color, manicures and pedicures with the gel and dip powder options.

The grand opening ceremony was Friday, Sept. 7 from 9:30 a.m.-noon

Priceville Mayor Melvin Duran and several council members were present for the 10 a.m. ribbon cutting.

Their current hours are Wednesday-Friday from 9-5 and Saturday 9-2.

They are located at 1709 Bethel Road in Decatur.
