FATHER BUILDS LITTLE DAUGHTER A CUTE HOTROD CAR

Nic Barbee enjoyed building his little daughter Ella Barbee a darling hotrod car, which she is pictured sitting in. Ella is one and a half years old and loves being with her Dad. Nic restores cars for car shows and just for pleasure at his “Real Steel Garage” located at 10Main Street, Moulton, AL 35650. They are open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ella really enjoyed having her picture made as she drove her special car under Dad’s guidance.

Massey Community supper on Friday Sept. 22nd featured hotdogs and sides, Lynn Hogan’s birthday cake and drinks. The host church was McKendree United Methodist . Noah Battles led the praise and worship service. The program speaker was from Saddle Back Church and her message was about sexual addiction. Jason gave his testimonial and told of his appreciation for McKendree’s Friday Recovery services. Teri Sanford met with the children and Brother Mike and Tammy Vest conducted the Men’s and Women’s groups.

Special get well wishes go out this week for Paulette Willingham and Rhona Summerford.

Wonderful happy birthday wishes go out this week for Stephanie Anders and Stephanie will celebrate her special day on Oct. 10.

Brother Glenn Miller prepared pork loin for Corinth West Baptists Senior Citizens Day lunch on Sept. 19. The menu included green beans, pinto beans, corn, creamed potatoes, slaw, deviled eggs, tomatoes, Mexican cornbread, rolls, desserts and drinks for a wonderful meal. Prayer requests were also taken from those attending. Tony Smithson chose for his devotional topic “Commitment.” GayNell Wilhite gave out door prizes, birthday and anniversary gifts and the 36 attending sang “Happy Birthday” . Area residents and guests from Emeus Baptist, also from Logan, Mt. Vernon, Macedonia, Longview, Battleground, West Point, Vinemont, Cullman, Andrew’s Chapel and Massey attended. Everyone enjoyed four Bingo games, called by Jo Ann Thompson. The next Senior Citizens Day will be Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. with an Autumn theme.

On Oct. 6, the United Methodist Women of the North Alabama Conference will have leadership training at Camp Sumatanga. On Oct. 7, Saturday there will be a luncheon and at 1 p.m. the annual conference meeting. Carolyn Besnyl of McKendree Church will attend along with Jenny Turney. The president of the North West District United Methodist Women is Jenny Turney from Forrest Chapel Church. She will preside at the next N.W. District meeting.
