After the Brewer Lady Patriots defeated Priceville, the boy’s team would get their shot at the Bulldogs. Meanwhile, Priceville was hoping to avenge their female counterparts loss to the Patriots.

The game started out slow as no team managed a point for the first two minutes. Brewer finally took the lead 5-0 behind baskets from Preston Shelton and Dakota Bennett. Two three pointers from Caleb Martin and then a put back from Martin helped cut the score to 9-8 at the end of the first quarter.

Priceville took their first lead of the game in the beginning of the second quarter with a free throw from Andrew Hester and a jumper from Dylan Cross. Brewer would rally with a 5-0 run to take the lead back 16-12. McClain Thompson would cut the Pat’s lead to 20-19. However, Brewer would go on a 14-0 run to end the quarter. Tyler Peck would nail a buzzer beating three pointer to give Brewer a 34-19 lead at the half.

The Bulldogs opened the second half by going on a 7-2 run, which included a three point play from Hester, to cut the lead to 36-26. Back to back three pointers by John Graves and Levi Kelley extended the lead to 42-26. A buzzer beating three by Brandon Speegle cut the Pat’s lead to 44-32 at the end of the third quarter.

Priceville would make a last ditch effort in the fourth quarter to get back in the game. Baskets from Cross-and Dalton Southerland cut Brewer’s lead to 10. However, back-to-back technical free throws from Graves and Kelley would put the Dogs away. Brewer would go on to win 57-40.
