Priceville would wrap up its string of six athletic signings in two weeks when Parker Gwin signed to play basketball at college last Wed. May 18^th. Gwin signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Freed Hardeman, which is located in Hendersonville. Tennessee. Gwin, much like his fellow signee Marc McClendon, was a key part in the Bulldogs basketball season this year as he helped them win the Morgan County championship and advance to the regional semi finals. Gwin was also a big part in the Bulldogs very successful football season in which he helped them earn their first ever region championship and advance to the playoffs for only the second time in school history.

A reception was held in Gwin’s honor in the gymnasium of the new Priceville high school in which family, friends, coaches and teammates attended to help congratulate Gwin on his accomplishment.

Gwin is very much looking forward to the challenge of playing college basketball at Freed Hardeman. “I went up and visited them and I really like the way they play” Gwin said “They are a great shooting team and that is what I do best so it just fit.”

Freed Hardeman assistant coach Vincent Meninno knows that they are getting a quality player in Gwin. “We’re really excited to have a player like Parker in the program” Meninno said “ We have a very successful program with a 82-18 record the past three years and we think Parker can add to that.”

Gwin graduated from Priceville this year and will start attending Freed Hardeman in the fall.
