Falkville News for April 27

First Baptist Church Ladies brunch was April 9. It was given by the Women’s Missionary Union. The guest soloist was Kim Hargett and guest speaker was Kathleen Sherwood, author of Christian books.

Those in attendance were Fran Edmondson, Rose Caroll, Dean Nelson, Geraldine Rowe, June Walling, Barbara Fields, Sarah Laughmiller, Deborah Thompson, Crystal Williams, Lydia Williams, Eve Williams, Michelle Ferrell, Abby Ferrell, Lilly Ferrell, Charlotte Morris, Bonnie Sawyer, Mary Travers, Olivia Travers, Alana Travers, Jillian Smith, Anita Crow, Rita Burden, Julia James, Lacey Host, Dorris Haulse, Jodi Mooneyham, Mikayla James, Vanessa Johnson, Leah Johnson, Marlene Whiteley, Nina Lazenby and Pam Blevins.

Lunch and brunch met at Libby’s Restaurant at Priceville for a fun day and fellowship. Among those attending were Evelyn Garner, Ruby Story, Sherry Story, William Depreast, Melba Nelson, Howard and Helen Gibson, Marie Speegle, Eva Stinson, Ray and Betty Sanders, Kathy Gray and Diane Banks.

Falkville High School Class of 1957 met for lunch Tues., March 29, at Oh! Bryan’s in Hartselle.

Those class members enjoying lunch together were Arthur Ray and Barbara Summerford, Edward and Merle Higdon, Marlon and Laura Tapscott, Bill and Jane Minter Padgett, Bobby Glen Staples, Billy Joe and Lois Nell Williams Pickens, Bobby Childers, Ola Mae Wright Coleman, Billy Joe Buckelew, Allen and Jan Holmes and Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Culbreath.

Young at Heart of First Baptist Church Falkville met at the church for a potluck brunch. Among those attending were Pat Nelson, Ronna Halbrooks, David Halbrooks, Mike and Deborah Thompson, Alfred and Linda Bryan, Chris and Lula Blevins, John Moore, Don and Charlotte Morris, Bruce Treece, Dean Nelson, Barbara Fields, Rita Burden, June Walling, Rev. Cannon and Joe and Fran Edmondson.
