Carmen ‘Carmie’ Elizabeth Johnson

Funeral for Carmen “Carmie” Elizabeth Johnson, 15, will be Wed., (today), April 20, at 5 p.m. at Epic Church with the Rev. I.V. Marsh officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed., April 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the church.

Miss Johnson died Sat., April 16, 2016. She was born Sept. 1, 2000, in Morgan County to Jimmy Ray Johnson Jr. and Casey Denise Murphy Johnson. She was a student at Priceville High School. She was a varsity cheerleader and was a loving, kind-hearted, Christian girl that loved everyone very much. She wanted all of her friends to know the Lord and to share wonderful friendships.

She is survived by her parents, Jimmy Johnson Jr. and Casey Murphy Johnson; a brother, Zach Johnson (Michelle Terry Johnson); two sisters, Chelsey Johnson Cleghorn (Evan Cleghorn) and Kayla Vest; a nephew, Brooks Johnson; her grandparents, Rick and Denise Melson and Betty and Bill Lancaster and the late Tommy Murphy; great-grandparents, Harold and Floris Dunaway, Amy and Preston Luckett and Dorthy Murphy; and many aunts and uncles; lots of cousins; and her animals, Roxy, Bama, Sam and the late Franklin.

Pallbearers will be Jay Owens, Rodney McGregor, Bobby Allen, R.J. McKee, Jeremy Morris and Chris Partain.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations to a scholarship fund at Traditions Bank in Priceville in her honor.
