Team Pennies from Heaven as a 2016 fundraiser organized, a Knockerball tournament for Relay for Life of Hartselle. Team Pennies from Heaven is oganized in memory of the late Penny Smallwood Hazel, who lost her battle to Pancreatic cancer a couple of years ago. This year’s tournament was comprised of 11 teams. Jack Daniels Cooperage and Brooks Lock sponsored the tournament & Key, Inc.

Knockerball is a single chamber inflatable sphere with inner handles and adjustable shoulder straps.  Knockerballs range from 1.2 Meters to 1.5 Meters and the size or fit is predicated on your height.  Knockerballs can be used singularly to perfect your rolls, flips, and “KnockerBallers” describe the sensation as almost defying gravity. With two or more Knockerballs, the experience is catapulted into rip roaring laughter, exhilarating knocks and rolls that will keep you coming back for more.

Knocker soccer basically involves playing soccer and trying to score goals while wearing the Knockerball. Knocking players around and causing them to roll on the ground is part of the fun of the game.

The commentators for the event were Chris Hensley and Vic Wilson This is the first of many knockerball tournaments to come. It was a huge success and we are in hopes that next year will be even bigger.
