Mr. and Mrs. Jim T. Rushen of Summerville, S.C. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Lauren Rushen of Summerville, S.C. to James Nelson Deierlein III of Charleston, S.C., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Nelson Deierlein Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bennich of Hartselle and the late T. A. Rushen of Decatur and the late Vera Rushen of Decatur.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kline of Cornwall, N.Y. and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Nelson Deierlein of Columbia, S.C.
The wedding is planned for April 2, 2016, in Charleston, S.C.
