Hartselle High student arrested for marijuana distribution

Sheriff Ana Franklin reports that on Wednesday, December 16th, 2015, Morgan County Drug Task Force Agents and Hartselle Police SRO arrested Tobias Travian Bjorn Mitchell, 18, B/M, at Hartselle High School.  Agents had conducted a several month long investigation into Mitchell distributing marijuana throughout the City of Hartselle.  Agents state that Mitchell was not caught selling on school property but the distributions occurred within a three mile radius of a public school.  Agents also secured a search warrant signed by Judge Howell on Mitchell’s residence located at 310 Sunset St. in Hartselle.  Agents discovered multiple bags of marijuana packaged for resale along with drug sale paraphernalia.  Agents also located over 20 grams of cocaine packaged for resale along with a handgun in the residence.

Mitchell was charged with three counts of Unlawful Distribution of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, and, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine.  Mitchell remains in Morgan County Jail with a bond of $75,000.00.
