It only took 1:57 seconds for Priceville to notch it’s first touchdown of 2015 Thursday against Sylvania during their jamboree.

The Bulldogs took the ball 75 yards in seven plays on their first drive, ending with a pass from Kaleb Barker to Kyle Haynes.

The Sylvania Rams, ranked No. 10 in 3A responded with a score of their own in the first quarter, but could not keep up with the pace of Priceville.

On the second drive, Priceville ground up 75 yards again, running nine plays in just under three minutes. Sylvania could not match scores with the Bulldog defense, forcing them to punt the ball twice before the half. The Dogs scored on each possession in the first three quarters with a balanced attack of run to pass.

Kaleb Barker led the offense in his first game back as quarterback for Priceville. He had 14 completions on 21 attempts, for 246 yards and throwing for three touchdowns. He carried the ball 125 yards on 15 carries, scoring twice.

Aaron Cartee carried the ball 11 times for 72 yards, caught two passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Kyle Haynes led the Bulldogs in receiving with six receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown.

The Priceville defense, led by Brian Parker and Hunter Huckaby, kept the Rams in check with Parker leading the team with 10 tackles. Michael Morris and Jarod McKelvy also played well, making several tackles as the Bulldog defense looks to improve over past performances and match the strength of their offense.

All the starters played only the first three quarters and left the game with the score 33-14 at the start of the fourth. The final score had Priceville on top 33-20.
