Red Cross announces blood drives

The American Red Cross will hold several blood drives in Morgan County during the month of August.

A blood drive will be held Tues., Aug. 11, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville in the conference room from 1-6 p.m.  Another blood drive event will be held Tues., Aug. 25,, from 1-6 p.m. at Epic Church in Decatur. Austinville Church of Christ in Decatur will host a blood drive in their annex building Thurs., Aug. 27, from 1-6 p.m. Mon., Aug. 31, a blood drive will be held in the vacant store in the Decatur Mall from 1-6 p.m.. For this drive, Carmike Movie Theater will give a free movie ticket to each donor.

Two blood drives will also be held specifically for the employees, contractors and families of local corporations. A blood drive will be held at Daikin-America in Decatur Tues., Aug. 18, from 2:30-7:30 p.m. Another drive will be held at BP-Decatur Wed., Aug. 19, from noon to 5 p.m.
