Billy Dee Johnson

Funeral for Billy Dee Johnson, 77, of Danville was Sat., July 18, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Martin Poe officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was Sat., July 18, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson died Thur., July 16, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born June 8, 1938, in Morgan County to Elmer Mazel Johnson and Audrey Exodus Layton Johnson. He retired from 3M after 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy Doyle Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Mary F. Johnson of Danville; a son, Mike Johnson (Lisa) of Danville; a daughter, Sonya Johnson Bright (Randy) of Danville; a brother, Raymond Douglas Johnson of Decatur; two step-brothers, John Bolan and Leamon Bolan; three step-sisters, Wilma McLemore, Dorothy Latham and Inez Alexander; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Michael Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Brandon Scott, Blake Bolan, Lucas Ryan Ferrell and Ethan Standridge.
