Enquirer announces All-Area Baseball Team

The Hartselle Enquirer recently announced their All-Area Baseball Team for the 2015 season.

The first and second teams are listed as follows.

 

First team

Ryan Bradford, Sr., Falkville, P/1B/3B- 78 strikeouts, 2.02 ERA, 15 walks, .394 batting average, 43 hits, one homerun, 38 RBIs, named to the 2A All-State Second Team (DH).

Aaron Cartee, Jr., Priceville, OF/C- .398 batting average, 40 RBIs, 13 doubles, two homeruns.

Hayden Bradford, Jr., Hartselle, SS- .403 batting average, 62 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, two homeruns, 25 RBIs, .466 on base percentage.

Tyler Woodall, Sr., Falkville, 2B- .431 batting average, 56 hits, one homerun, 30 RBIs, named to the 2A All-State Second Team (OF).

Weston Hopkins, Sr., Priceville, SS- .391 batting average, 19 stolen bases, 40 runs, 36 hits, 3-year starter for PHS, signed with Marion Military Institute, had two game-winning walk-off hits this season.

Carson Owens, So., Danville, 3B- .394 batting average, eight doubles, 28 RBIs, .950 fielding percentage.

Andy Dove, Jr., Falkville, LF- .410 batting average, 50 hits, one homerun, 31 RBIs.

Tate Mathis, Sr., Hartselle, LF- .310 batting average, 36 hits, five doubles, seven triples, three homeruns, 31 RBIs, .411 on base percentage.

Hunter Woodall, Sr., Falkville, CF- .371 batting average, 43 hits, one homerun, 24 RBIs.

Dakota Bennett, So., Brewer, P- 49.33 innings pitched, .99 ERA, 65 strikeo.uts, 33 hits

 

Second Team

Jake Nelson, Sr., Hartselle, P- 59 innings pitched, 6-2 record from the mound, 3.402 ERA, 40 strikeouts.

Hunter Brown, Jr., Danville, LHP- 52 innings pitched, 5-3 record from the mound, 2.83 ERA, 49 strikeouts.

Brady Netherton, So., Hartselle, 3B/P- .256 batting average, 32 hits, five doubles, 19 RBIs, 50 innings pitched, 6-2 record from the mound, 2.24 ERA, 43 strikeouts, named to the Perfect Season Underclassmen All-American High Honorable Mention list.

Phillip Goodwin, Jr., Priceville, OF/P- .322 batting average, 25 stolen bases, 34 runs, 35 innings pitched, 4-3 record from the mound, 31 strikeouts.

Landon Tidwell, So., Danville, SS- .361 batting average, 10 doubles, 24 RBIs.

Zeth Malcolm, Jr., Hartselle, C- .305 batting average, 36 hits, five doubles, three homeruns, 27 RBIs, .438 on base percentage.

Weston Krohe, So., Danville, LHP- 39 innings pitched, 5-1 record from the mound, 3.15 ERA, 34 strikeouts.

Jacob Vehrs, Sr., Priceville, OF- .309 batting average.

Collins Hanners, Sr., Hartselle, RF- .280 batting average, 37 hits, four doubles, one homerun, 24 RBIs, .375 on base percentage.

Austin Clemons, Sr., Danville, OF- notable player.
