John Cleveland Smith

Funeral for John Cleveland Smith, 65, of Danville will be Sunday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with  Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Old Beulah Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Mr. Smith died Thur., May 28, 2015, at his residence.

He was born May 17, 1950, in Morgan County to John Paul Smith and Myrtis Lottie Chappell Smith. He was a chemical operator for Amoco Chemical Corporation.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Obie Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Smith of Danville; two daughters, Tracy Smith Young (Alan) and Nickie Smith (Mark), both of Danville; three brothers, Butch Smith of Mississippi, Ricky Smith of Tennessee and Jeff Smith of California; a sister, Joan Smith Sherrill (Ronnie) of Danville; two grandchildren, LeAnn Smith and Elizabeth Smith; and three granddogs.

Pallbearers were friends.
