Funeral for Fay Cocke Barber, 85, of Hartselle will be Mon., June 1, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rich Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Mrs. Barber died Thur., May 28, at Columbia Cottage in Hartselle.

She was born July 29, 1929, in Jefferson County to Gurney Asbury Lawrence and Vera Cora Black Lawrence.  She was a self-employed seamstress and was preceded in death by two husbands, Eugene S. “Tootie” Cocke in 1989 and Donald Barber in 1998; a son, Bobby Cocke; a son-in-law, Tony Miller; a brother, Oscar Lawrence; and a great-grandchild, Dakota Shane Cocke. She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Brock (Sherman) of Somerville, Patricia “Tricia” Dean (Chris) of Moulton and Linda Miller of Hartselle; a brother, W.A. Lawrence of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; a sister, Betty Sue Anthony of Hartselle; six grandchildren, Robbie Cocke, Michael Cocke, Nathan Thomas, Desiree Wilson, Jessica Scott and Audrey Dean; two great-grandchildren, Lily Cocke and Izzie Wilson.

Pallbearers were Justin Wilson, Nathan Thomas, Jimmy Lawrence, Alan Brock, Michael Cocke and Mitchell Driver.
