Phillis Nelson

Funeral for Phillis Nelson, 52, of Somerville will be Sat., May 23, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rob Jackson, Ronnie Dukes and Dr. Mark Nelson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Enon Cemetery in Cullman County. Visitation will be Fri., May 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nelson died Thur., May 21, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 25, 1963, in Morgan County to John Phillip Vaughn and Patricia Ann (Nicholson) Vaughn Whitsell. Phillis was an adminstrative professional working for the Pepsi Cola Company. She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her loving husband, Stan Nelson of Somerville; mother and step-father, Pat Whitsell (Jerry) of Trinity; a brother, Patrick Vaughn (Nicole) of Decatur.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Richardson, Stacy Richardson, Anthony Bailey, Casey Culwell, Damion Kidd, and Roger Jones.
